Background

I was born in 1958 in Inowrocław, Poland.  I graduated from the Leon Wyczółkowski Fine Arts secondary school in Bydgoszcz, Poland and I then studied painting under the guidance of Professor Stanislaw Borysowski and Professor Mieczysław Ziomek at the in Fine Arts Faculty of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland. In 1989 I was awarded a Master’s degree in Fine Arts.  Since 1995 I have been developing my own technique and style which I call ‘codes’ and which I create using materials which include paper pulp, clay, linen and cotton.
